I purchased a docomo sim on the second day of their launch in mumbai. I was waiting for their mumbai launch as I came to know about Docomo when i was in kerala. The offers were really excellent and unbeatable. So I kept on sending mails to Docomo about their mumbai launch ( Yes , I'm sooo mad about DoCoMo ).
After purchasing DoCoMo, I would like to say, i'm one of the happiest subscriber. I used to use Vodafone who charged me Rs.1.5/minute for talking to my mom n dad x-( and now i feel liberated... Just 60ps/min and I can talk to all my friends across India... WOW.
Then comes the network... I think this is one of the least congested network... And the customer care is excellent. I had some complaints with the activation in the beginning... I just emailed the mumbai gsm at listen.mum@tatadocomo.com and in 5 minutes, they called me back and fixed the issue. Really wonderful service... ( by the way, i mailed vodafone and my earlier service provider airtel many times in the past... I'm yet to get their replies )
The only bad thing i can say about DoCoMo is that they dont have any std sms special package for mumbai. They are offering that to almost all other states. I hope they will come up with some interesting package for mumbai too soon :)
And above all, I convinced a lot of my friends to shift to DoCoMo. I think DoCoMo owe me a drink for that :) he he.
Anywayz Good bye Vodafone.. I'm a proud member of the Tata family now :) :) :)

Even I took a docomo connection. But i feel that their call center is really bad. They dont kno about anything and the replies are completely unprofessional. It reminds me of MTNL services. I hate DoCoMo now
ReplyDeleteYes Rupal. The call center of tata docomo is not upto the mark. But just drop them an email at listen.mum@tatadocomo.com and they will call you back and fix the issue. I think this is the best way to do it. I too faced some problems when i called the call center. But i'm sure they will improve it soon.
ReplyDeleteI didnt find the coverage of tata docomo that good. My calls dropped when i walked or just moved my head a bit forward or backward. and u call it the best network? Are you working in tata docomo?
ReplyDeleteAnother problem i faced is the time it takes when we call the customer care of tata docomo. It takes much more time than any other service provider. They are not friendly either. They speak nonsense all the time and waste our money and time. I think tata docomo is not at all great. It is just like the loop mobile, good for nothing.

ReplyDeleteWe have finally launched our unlimited GPRS plan and we will be introducing it in 2 packages. The first package will be the ‘Rs. 15 GPRS Pack’. This is a pre paid pack wherein a customer can recharge with Rs.15, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for next 3 days by selecting Docomo internet APN on their handsets. The second package will be the ‘Rs. 95 GPRS Pack’. In this pack, the customer can recharge with Rs. 95, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for the next 30 days. These packages will be applicable to TATADOCOMO home and roaming network only.
